In the summer of 1976, our father, Bernie White, sought solace amidst the calm waters. Our family's roots were firmly planted in Fairfax, VA, yet Bernie's heart yearned for the serene embrace of a freshwater lake, reminiscent of his cherished White Island Pond in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Guided only by vague directions and a spirit of adventure – "Head south on 95, take the exit for Rte 3 in Fredericksburg, and let serendipity be your guide" – our journey began. Hours of wandering led us to the hidden gem of Lake Anna, a pristine oasis cradled in nature's untouched beauty.

With unwavering devotion, Mom and Dad carved out a piece of waterfront paradise along the northern shores of the lake, despite financial uncertainties. "We couldn't afford it, Chris!" Mom would recall, yet they persevered, creating a sanctuary amidst the verdant pastures and shimmering waters.

For over two decades, Lake Anna wove the fabric of our family's story. Each summer, Dad meticulously crafted our rustic haven, a labor of love that blossomed into a haven for laughter, adventure, and cherished memories.

As the new millennium dawned, our humble cabin transformed into a multi-generational retreat, echoing with the laughter of grandchildren and the wisdom of generations past.

In the wake of Dad's passing on December 7, 2017, we embarked on a journey to honor his legacy, completing the dreams he left unfinished. In 2020, our beloved sanctuary opened its doors to guests, inviting families from near and far to create their own memories amidst its storied embrace.

Inspired by Dad's spirit, I ventured to acquire a cabin of my own, overlooking the tranquil expanse of Lake Anna's northern shores.Today, we extend a warm invitation to you, dear guests, to join us in the legacy of love and kinship that defines our shores.
